Charity Evening of Spiritual Mediumship

A charity evening of Spiritual Mediumship is being held on Friday 6th February at 8 pm in Baldoyle Community Hall (Main Street beside the church), in aid of Peter McVerry Trust, a registered charity that works with homeless people.

The Mediums involved are all giving their time for free, Declan Flynn (as recently seen on RTE), Dave Brophy, Vivienne Cardin, Eileen Morris and Esther McGaley.  There will also be a raffle on the evening, with lots of prizes including vouchers for readings, healings and past life regression, as well as hampers with candles, incense, crystals etc.

Tickets may be purchased both for the charity event and for the raffle online at My Charity Spiritual Mediumship Event and from Baldoyle Forum (upstairs in Baldoyle Community Hall).

Annual Samhain Celebrations at Tlachtga

The annual Samhain Torchlit Procession and Celebration at Tlachtga, the Hill of Ward, Athboy takes place on Halloween night.    Tlachtga is the home of the ancient Samhain fire, where what is now celebrated as Halloween worldwide originated, many many moons ago.  The modern day event is the brainchild of local resident Joe Conlon who has been organising it for the last fifteen years.

People attending gather at the faery ring in the Fairgreen in Athboy, Co. Meath at 7 pm and the torchlit procession leaves for Tlachtga at 7.30 pm, where Gemma McGowan and friends give a magnificent rendition of the story of the Goddess Tlachtga.  For further details see the Friends of Tlachtga Facebook page.
